Michelle Hannah is the president and founder of Celebrate Life Foundation, a non-profit organization designed to help women live life beyond cancer.  In 2005, Michelle was reluctantly diagnosed with Carcinoma Insitu of the cervix.  Destined not to allow her diagnosis of Human Papillomavirus Virus (HPV) condition to get her down, she gave up her life of California sunshine and moved to Washington, D.C. to launch a U.S. campaign on educating a nation about HPV and how to prevent it. Through her Mending Heart Retreat educational seminars she has given women the courage to be empowered regardless of their diagnosis. Her organization has helped hundreds of women by making them a celebrity for a day through her legendary Survivor Pageants.  In addition to hosting star-studded pageants that not only raise awareness but also money for cancer awareness, she also lends her personal time and resources to helping women cope with their daily lives after they accept that are willing to go on.  As a motivational speaker and expert on HPV, she travels the country making her fight known.  With an insatiable desire to live life in the highest, her unparalleled determination, motivation and personal experiences have led her to become a catalyst for the cause and a steward of social change. 

Michelle holds a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from California Sate Dominguez, an MBA from Strayer University and currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Psychology with an emphasis in non profit management from University of Rockies.

• Living a Healthy Life with Cancer – Proper diet, exercise and education are all necessary for anyone to be healthy. However a cancer survivor has to focus on many more areas to stay healthy on a daily basis. Knowing the basics on how to be healthy isn’t enough, knowing our individual bodies, our health history and having a consistent customized lifestyle is crucial to LIVING a healthy lifestyle.  

• HPV – How Did This Happen? – Most people don’t have a clue on the definition of HPV and how it can be prevented. They often find themselves scared when they are diagnosed and embarrassed to ask questions. Women often feel that HPV must always be coupled along with promiscuity and that couldn’t be further from the truth. Knowing the definition, risks, and how to prevent HPV is essential to preventing cervical cancer causes or other diseases that are caused by HPV.

• The Importance of not Giving Up – Against all odds…When it seems all odds are stacked against you, courage and the will to conquer undeniable happiness is what defines the importance of not giving up. Cancer is only one of the many obstacles that Michelle Hannah has had to overcome. She is teaching others how to use key tools for how to cope and maintain success during crisis, sustaining motivation through life’s worst circumstances and finding the areas that will birth a love that you never knew is what can not only determine surviving but truly LIVING!
